P.G.D. in Teaching
With the Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching Programme, individuals will learn to combine passion, talent, skills, morals, and professional ethics, into a rewarding career aimed at inspiring and uplifting future generations. This course is designed to meet the needs of those who possess a tertiary qualification intending to pursue teaching profession but do not hold any nationally-recognized teaching qualification. It will meet the needs of trainers and teachers in education, community, government and industry. It builds on their qualifications or experience – preparing them for higher roles. This is the ideal self-paced distance learning course for Professional Development aimed at individuals in the field of Education. They’ll gain the confidence and skill-set needed to lead educational institutions or organizations in education.

Entry Requirements
- Applicants should possess a high level of motivation and self-discipline

Mature Entry Route (done on case-by-case evaluation basis only):
- Applicants without any prior tertiary education and qualification should possess at least 9 years of professional working experience in the field of PGD specialization, such as Business, or Management, or Teaching, or Education Administration, or related areas of work
- Applicants who possess HND Level 4 (Diploma) should possess at least 6 years of professional working experience in the field of PGD specialization, such as Business, or Management, or Teaching, or Education Administration, or related areas of work
- Applicants who possess HND Level 5 (Higher Diploma) should possess at least 3 years of professional working experience in the field of PGD specialization, such as Business, or Management, or Teaching, or Education Administration, or related areas of work
Graduation requirements
To receive a degree in the programme of study, students must achieve the following:
- Complete the course as prescribed in the academic catalog under which the student enrolled.
- Complete unit and course requirements with a minimum of a 49% ECTS.
- Complete the programme of study within 150% of the published length of the programme.
