The EIU-Paris VAE process recognizes that extensive, substantive professional experience is a valid basis for academic credit. Through a rigorous, evidence-led assessment conducted by our VAE Jury, real-world competencies are evaluated, validated, and formally credited within the degree program.

Step 1
Portfolio Submission
The candidate compiles and submits an extensive, substantive portfolio of evidence documenting professional experience, career achievements, leadership responsibilities, and demonstrated competencies. The portfolio should be comprehensive, well-structured, and clearly mapped to the modules within the degree program.

Step 2
Competency Validation
The EIU-Paris VAE Jury conducts a thorough review of each submitted portfolio. Every piece of evidence is assessed against the defined learning outcomes and competency requirements of the corresponding module within the degree program.

Step 3
Validation Decision
For each module, the Jury determines whether the portfolio comprehensively demonstrates the required competencies. A decision is then reached per module:
Validated
Evidence is comprehensive and sufficient.
Further Evidence Required
Candidate resubmits additional documentation.

Step 4
Mark Assignment
For all validated modules, the Jury formally assigns academic marks, typically within the passing range, reflecting demonstrated proficiency and the quality of evidence presented. Marks are determined on the basis of the depth, credibility, and completeness of the submitted portfolio.

Step 5
Academic Transcript
The assigned marks are recorded on the official EIU-Paris academic transcript exactly as though the modules had been formally taught and examined. The qualification is conferred with full academic standing, reflecting the depth of validated professional experience.
