A clear guide to our Institutional Degrees and ACBSP-Accredited Business Degrees
The honest answer is: they carry different kinds of weight, and both are legitimate.
Issued directly under French education law and recognized as a private international degree. It is flexible, fast-track friendly, and ideal for professionals and adult learners who need applied, practical qualifications.
It carries the weight of our institutional brand, our global reputation, and the following recognitions:
Carries the added weight of U.S. programmatic accreditation recognized by CHEA. This applies specifically to our business programs: BBA, MBA, and DBA.
It follows a more standardized curriculum with live sessions and oral defense. The stronger choice for students who need recognition in contexts where U.S. accreditation matters, such as corporate HR systems, government positions, or further studies at U.S. institutions.
Think of it this way: both degrees come from EIU-Paris. One is our institutional degree, backed by French law and our global reputation. The other adds an extra layer of external validation through ACBSP. The right choice depends on what the student needs the degree for and where they plan to use it.

More information is available on our accreditations and affiliations.
EIU-Paris is ranked #50 in CEOWORLD Magazine’s 2025 Global Business School Rankings, following previous rankings of #51 in 2024 and #55 in 2023. This reflects EIU-Paris’s continued commitment to excellence, innovation, affordability, and global relevance.
No university in the world is “accredited,” “registered,” or formally licensed by UNESCO. UNESCO does not approve or recognize individual higher education institutions. Instead, it facilitates international recognition frameworks, including the Global Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education, which supports cross-border comparability of qualifications.
No. The World Higher Education Database (WHED), maintained by the International Association of Universities (IAU) in partnership with UNESCO, is a directory of institutions recognized by their respective national authorities. While EIU-Paris is not currently listed in WHED, it is legally registered in France under the authority of the French Ministry of National Education.
EIU-Paris is a legally registered private higher education institution operating under the status of a Centre d’enseignement à distance (distance learning center) with the French Ministry of National Education. It appears in the official national directory of recognized institutions under UAI Code 0756213W.
EIU-Paris holds the following accreditations, recognitions, and memberships:
•ACBSP (USA): Programmatic accreditation for business degrees (BBA, MBA, DBA)
•ASIC (UK): Premier Institution status
•QS Intelligence Unit (UK): 5-Star Rating for Online Learning, Teaching, and Employability
•Memberships in BGA, ECBE, and ATHEA
EIU-Paris qualifications are benchmarked against the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and aligned with the UNESCO Global Convention on Higher Education Recognition. Graduates have successfully used their qualifications for employment, professional development, further studies, and credential evaluation in multiple countries. However, recognition outcomes may vary depending on national regulatory frameworks and the intended use of the qualification.
As clearly and transparently stated on our website, European International University - Paris (EIU-Paris) operates under French authorization as a private higher education institution. This authorization allows EIU-Paris to legally deliver academic programs and confer degrees. However, all EIU programs are offered exclusively in English, and EIU degrees are not classified as traditional French-type national degrees.
As a result, EIU-Paris degrees may not automatically be recognized as nationally accredited degrees in some countries, particularly for public-sector employment or regulated professions.
Many countries follow conventional national recognition frameworks that require degrees to align with specific domestic standards, such as language of instruction, program structure, and local accreditation requirements. For example, some jurisdictions require programs to be delivered in the national language or degrees to conform to national qualification frameworks to qualify for public-sector recognition.
That said, recognition of EIU-Paris degrees remains feasible in contexts where employers, institutions, or authorities adopt a more globally oriented and flexible perspective. EIU degrees are highly valued in the private sector and by organizations with an international outlook. Our qualifications are supported by strong international accreditations, including ASIC (UK), which demonstrates compliance with recognized global academic standards.
EIU-Paris has also earned international recognition for academic excellence. The university was ranked among the Top 51 Business Schools worldwide in 2024 by CEOWORLD Magazine, reflecting its growing reputation for high-quality academic programs. In addition, EIU–Paris holds a 5 out of 5 QS Star Rating, exceeding expectations in areas such as teaching quality, academic development, inclusivity, graduate employability, and online learning. These distinctions further reinforce our commitment to excellence and international credibility.
Moreover, EIU-Paris is affiliated with respected international organizations, including ECBE, ATHEA, and BGA, and is a candidate for ACBSP (USA) programmatic accreditation for its BBA, MBA, and DBA programs. These affiliations and accreditation pathways affirm EIU-Paris’s standing as a globally oriented institution offering qualifications aligned with international standards.
EIU-Paris strongly encourages all current, former, and prospective students to verify specific recognition requirements with relevant local authorities, employers, or licensing bodies in their respective countries. This is especially important when degrees are intended for use in regulated professions or public-sector roles.
EIU-Paris does not seek accreditation from the French Ministry of Higher Education. While the university is fully authorized and operates under both the National Education and Higher Education frameworks in France, its strategic focus has always been on international accreditation and global academic recognition.
Our vision is centered on meeting global academic standards and serving an international student body, rather than operating within national-only regulatory frameworks. This strategic choice allows EIU-Paris to deliver flexible, globally relevant education tailored to the needs of working professionals worldwide.
We kindly ask all readers to fully understand this distinction before making decisions or assumptions. Thank you for your attention and for aligning with our institutional priorities.
Safeer (and Safeer2) is an online portal provided by the Saudi Ministry of Education. It is commonly used to check whether a foreign university or program appears on the Ministry’s list of recommended or classified institutions. The portal is mainly used for scholarship reference and initial verification purposes.
No. Listing on Safeer is not mandatory for a foreign university to be legitimate. The Safeer database is a reference list, not an exhaustive or compulsory register of all recognized foreign universities worldwide. Some private, independent, and specialized institutions may not appear on Safeer despite being legally established and recognized in their home countries.
Yes. According to Saudi Ministry of Education procedures, degree equivalency may still be considered on a case-by-case basis, even if the awarding institution does not appear on the Safeer list.
In such cases, the Ministry evaluates the qualification individually against its equivalency criteria before issuing a decision.
The Ministry’s equivalency review typically considers:
• Whether the degree was legitimately issued and fully completed
• Whether the awarding institution is recognized and accredited in its home country
• Whether the qualification level (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate) meets expected academic standards
Being absent from the Safeer recommended list does not automatically disqualify a degree from equivalency consideration.
Applicants are generally required to submit:
• Original degree certificate and academic transcript
• Proper authentication from relevant authorities in the issuing country
• Official translation, if required
These documents allow the Ministry to verify authenticity and academic validity, regardless of Safeer listing status.
EIU-Paris is a private, independent higher education institution legally established in France. If EIU-Paris does not appear on the Safeer recommended list at a given time, graduates may still apply directly to the Saudi Ministry of Education for degree equivalency, subject to the Ministry’s individual review, standards, and documentation requirements.
Safeer is a useful reference tool, but it is not the sole determinant of degree equivalency in Saudi Arabia. Degrees from private, independent foreign universities may still be reviewed individually, and equivalency decisions are made case by case by the Ministry of Education based on established criteria.
Absolutely not.
Non-acceptance or non-recognition of a degree by a particular country’s local authority (such as national qualification agencies or credential-evaluation bodies) does not render the degree fake or invalid.European International University - Paris (EIU-Paris) is a legally established and authorized institution in France. The university holds international and transnational accreditation, which enables its graduates to pursue further studies or secure employment in many countries where transnational education is well understood and accepted.
EIU-Paris graduates have successfully advanced their education or professional careers in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Suriname, the United States, and others, clearly demonstrating the international value and credibility of EIU-Paris qualifications.
The misconception that “non-acceptance equals fake” stems from a simplistic and uninformed understanding of how global higher education systems operate. In reality, a degree is considered fake only if it is issued without genuine academic engagement or completion. This is not the case with EIU-Paris.
At EIU-Paris, students actively study, complete coursework, pass assessments, and fulfill all graduation requirements in accordance with established academic standards before any qualification is awarded.
We strongly encourage individuals to engage in responsible, fact-based discussions when addressing educational matters, particularly within the context of transnational education, which is a growing,
The European International University - Paris (EIU-Paris) is a legally established, private, and independent institution of higher education in France. It is officially authorized by the French Ministry of National Education (Ministère de l’Éducation nationale) under Registration Number (UAI Code) 0756213W, dated 02 April 2019.
This legal authorization affirms the university’s right to operate as a private higher education institution in France and enables it to design, deliver, and confer higher education qualifications under its own name and academic responsibility.
EIU-Paris confers institutional degrees, a category of qualifications awarded by legally recognized private universities in France. These degrees are not classified as French national diplomas (diplômes nationaux) and therefore do not fall within the French national qualifications framework.
Instead, they are issued solely under the authority and full academic responsibility of EIU-Paris, in accordance with the institutional autonomy granted under French private higher education law.
While these degrees exist outside the French national degree system, their academic integrity and international credibility are supported through a robust framework of transnational accreditation, independent institutional audits, global rankings, and professional memberships.
EIU-Paris has achieved Premier Institution Status from ASIC, a UK-based accreditation body recognized by the UK Home Office. This confirms compliance with internationally recognized standards in academic quality, institutional integrity, governance, and student services.
Following a comprehensive institutional audit, EIU-Paris earned an overall 5-Star rating, recognizing excellence in teaching quality, employability, online learning, and inclusivity.
In 2024, EIU-Paris was ranked #51 globally among business schools by CEOWORLD Magazine, affirming its growing reputation and standing in global business education.
EIU-Paris is an active member of several international bodies dedicated to quality assurance and standards in higher education, including:
EIU-Paris is currently a candidate for programmatic accreditation with the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), USA. Its BBA, MBA, and DBA programs are undergoing formal evaluation, with accreditation anticipated by or before June 2025.
The establishment of the European International University - Paris (EIU-Paris) in France was the result of careful and strategic decision-making by its founders. The goal was to align the institution with a global academic vision while navigating the specific opportunities and constraints of the French higher education environment. Several key considerations shaped this decision.
The French national higher education framework requires universities to establish physical campuses as part of their operations. At the time of EIU-Paris’s incorporation in 2018 and onward, market conditions were not conducive to such a large-scale investment. Feasibility studies highlighted the significant financial and logistical challenges associated with developing and maintaining a physical campus aligned with EIU-Paris’s international objectives.
As a result, the founders chose to prioritize an agile, scalable academic model centered on innovative online learning rather than a traditional campus-based structure.
Global education trends further supported this strategic choice. UNESCO projections indicated that the online learning market would grow into a $325 billion industry by 2025, reflecting a significant global shift toward digital education.
EIU-Paris embraced this transformation early, positioning itself as a forward-looking institution focused on flexible, technology-driven delivery. This approach allows the university to serve a diverse global student population and provide access to high-quality education regardless of geographic or socio-economic barriers.
France’s national higher education framework emphasizes French as the primary language of instruction. While this supports national integration goals, it was not aligned with EIU-Paris’s mission to serve an international student body.
French speakers represent approximately 3% of the global population, which would have significantly limited the university’s ability to reach learners worldwide. By adopting English as the primary medium of instruction, EIU-Paris ensured broader accessibility and relevance for international students and working professionals across multiple regions.
The founders also recognized that the traditional French national degree model, while prestigious, does not always align with expectations or recognition frameworks in key international markets. To support global portability and acceptance, EIU-Paris opted to offer internationally oriented institutional degrees designed in accordance with global academic standards.
This approach facilitates acceptance of EIU-Paris qualifications by employers, academic institutions, and regulatory bodies in diverse international contexts.
Given these considerations, EIU-Paris strategically prioritized international and transnational accreditations rather than integration into a single national framework. These accreditations provide external validation that the university’s academic standards meet or exceed recognized global benchmarks.
This focus reflects EIU-Paris’s long-term commitment to academic quality, institutional credibility, and global relevance.
The decision to incorporate EIU-Paris under the French Education Act (Article L 444) was guided by the founders’ vision of creating a truly international university responsive to the evolving dynamics of global higher education.
By emphasizing online delivery, English as the language of instruction, internationally benchmarked degree types, and global accreditations, EIU-Paris has positioned itself as a forward-thinking institution designed to meet the needs of learners worldwide rather than operating within a single national framework.
The European International University - Paris (EIU-Paris) is a legally established, private, and independent higher education institution in France. It operates under the official authorization of the French Ministry of National Education (Ministère de l’Éducation nationale), Registration Number (UAI Code) 0756213W, dated 02 April 2019. Under this legal framework, EIU-Paris is fully empowered to design, deliver, and confer its own institutional degrees in France and internationally.
The degrees awarded by EIU-Paris are institutional degrees, meaning they are issued under the full academic responsibility and authority of the institution itself, as permitted under French private higher education law. These degrees are not French national diplomas (diplômes nationaux) and do not fall within the French national qualifications framework.
Despite this, EIU-Paris degrees are academically credible and internationally respected, supported by rigorous internal quality assurance, international accreditations, external evaluations, global rankings, and memberships in reputable professional bodies.
If you intend to use an EIU-Paris qualification for purposes such as:
•Engineering licensure
•Counseling or psychology licensure
•Teacher certification
•Medical, legal, or other regulated profession licensure
•Immigration, work permits, or civil service eligibility
Please note the following:
EIU-Paris does not guarantee that its degrees will automatically meet the requirements of professional licensing or regulatory bodies in any specific country.
Each country, and often each state, province, or professional board, maintains its own licensure and recognition criteria. These requirements may be independent of university-level accreditation and often include additional elements such as national examinations, local qualifications, supervised practice hours, board registration, or professional training beyond the academic degree itself.
While professional licensure is regulated locally, EIU-Paris degrees and credentials have been accepted or positively evaluated by various international authorities and organizations, including:
•Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Singapore: EIU-Paris graduates have successfully used their qualifications to obtain an Employment Pass through the Complementarity Assessment Framework (COMPASS).
•International Education Evaluations (IEE), USA: A NACES-approved credential evaluation agency that has assessed EIU-Paris degrees as equivalent to regionally accredited U.S. degrees, enabling further study or employment in the United States.
•Saudi Arabia Ministry of Education (MOE): Through its Foreign Qualifications Evaluation Department, EIU–Paris degrees have been evaluated and recognized as equivalent following the formal national equivalency process.
•Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), UAE: ADEK has accepted EIU-Paris professional training certifications for visa extensions and continued employment of academic and teaching staff in UAE schools.
•Employers and universities worldwide, particularly in regions where transnational education is well understood and institutional degrees are evaluated based on academic quality, content, and delivery model.
Before enrolling in an EIU-Paris program for the purpose of licensure, registration, or regulatory clearance, you are strongly encouraged to:
•Contact the relevant licensing or regulatory authority in your country to confirm requirements.
•Verify whether institutional degrees from private international universities are accepted for your intended use.
•Obtain a credential evaluation (e.g., through agencies such as IEE) if required for employment, immigration, or further study.
EIU-Paris promotes informed decision-making and full transparency. While the university is committed to academic excellence and global accessibility, it does not make specific guarantees regarding national or state-based professional licensure outcomes.
EIU-Paris’s academic quality and international standing are supported by:
•ASIC Premier Institution Status (UK)
•QS 5-Star Rating for teaching, employability, online learning, and inclusivity
•#51 global ranking in CEOWORLD Magazine’s 2024 Business School Rankings
•Professional memberships: ATHEA, ECBE, BGA
•Programmatic accreditation candidacy with ACBSP (USA), anticipated by mid-2025
These recognitions reinforce the global credibility of EIU-Paris qualifications but do not replace the specific regulatory requirements set by national or professional licensing bodies.
EIU-Paris degrees are widely used across sectors, including business, education, psychology, healthcare, and entrepreneurship, particularly by professionals seeking career advancement, international mobility, or academic progression. However, for regulated professions, students must always consult the appropriate licensing authority in their jurisdiction to confirm suitability and compliance.
Our global partners act as official learning centers. They deliver the teaching and provide local student support, while EIU-Paris validates the program and awards the final qualification.
It is a model under which EIU-Paris reviews, approves, and certifies the academic programs offered by its partners. Students may study at a partner institution, but the degree itself is issued and signed by EIU-Paris.
Yes. This model is widely used in international higher education. Many European universities, particularly in the UK, operate validated or franchised programs in which partner colleges deliver the teaching locally, while the awarding university validates and certifies the degree, ensuring consistent academic standards and quality assurance.
Absolutely. Whether you study directly with EIU-Paris or through one of its validated global partners, the qualification awarded is the same and carries equal academic value and recognition.
No. European International University - Paris (EIU-Paris) is not an online university, and it does not award “online degrees.”
EIU-Paris is officially authorized by the French Ministry of National Education and the higher education authorities in France to deliver its programs through distance learning mode, which is a recognized and legally permitted form of education delivery in France and internationally.
It is important to clearly distinguish between the mode of delivery and the nature of the institution or degree.
Distance learning is a modern and established mode of instruction, widely used in 21st-century higher education. The fact that teaching, learning, and assessment are conducted through digital or online platforms does not classify a university as an “online university,” nor does it make the resulting qualification an “online degree.”
EIU-Paris offers all its programs as regular academic programs, delivered through distance learning. Accordingly, the degrees awarded to students are regular degrees, not online or irregular qualifications.
There is a widespread misconception that equates online or self-paced delivery methods with the idea of an “online university” or an “online degree.” In reality, there is no formal academic category known as an “online university” or an “online degree” in recognized higher education systems.
The mode of delivery, whether on-campus, distance, blended, or self-paced, does not determine the academic validity or status of a degree. What matters are legal authorization, academic standards, assessment rigor, and institutional responsibility.
EIU-Paris maintains the quality and recognition of its programs by operating under the legal framework governing French private higher education and by adhering to recognized academic standards. The university’s distance learning delivery model ensures accessibility and flexibility while preserving academic integrity, institutional responsibility, and degree validity.
•EIU-Paris is not an online university.
•EIU-Paris does not issue “online degrees.”
•Programs are delivered via distance learning, a legally recognized mode of education.
•Degrees awarded are regular degrees, issued under full institutional academic responsibility.
EIU-Paris offers the following degree programs under its recognized authority as a private institution:

As clearly and transparently mentioned on our website, EIU-Paris operates under French authorization as a private higher education institution. While this authorization allows us to legally deliver academic programs and confer degrees, our programs are offered exclusively in English, and our degrees are not classified as traditional French-type degrees. Consequently, EIU degrees may not automatically be recognized as nationally accredited degrees in some countries, particularly for public sector employment or regulated professions.
Many countries follow conventional frameworks that require degrees to align with specific national standards, including language of instruction, program structure, and local accreditation. For instance, some countries require programs to be delivered in the national language or degrees to meet specific national qualification frameworks to be eligible for public sector recognition.
However, recognition of EIU degrees remains feasible in contexts where authorities or employers adopt a more open-minded and globally oriented perspective. EIU degrees are highly valued in the private sector and by organizations with an international outlook. Our qualifications are supported by robust international accreditations, such as ASIC accreditation (UK), which demonstrates compliance with recognized global academic standards.
Additionally, EIU-Paris has gained global recognition for its excellence in education. It was ranked among the Top 51 B-Schools in the world for 2024 by CEOWORLD Magazine, reflecting our growing reputation for high-quality academic programs. EIU-Paris also holds a perfect 5 out of 5 QS Star Rating, exceeding expectations in criteria such as teaching quality, academic development, inclusivity, graduate employability, and online learning, further underscoring our commitment to excellence and international credibility.
Moreover, EIU-Paris is affiliated with prestigious organizations such as ECBE, ATHEA, and BGA, and is a candidate for ACBSP (US) programmatic accreditation for its BBA, MBA, and DBA programs. These affiliations and accreditations affirm our standing as a globally recognized institution offering degrees that meet international standards.
We strongly encourage all current, past, and prospective students to verify specific recognition criteria with relevant local authorities, employers, or licensing bodies in their respective countries. EIU-Paris remains committed to delivering globally relevant education tailored to the needs of working professionals, emphasizing practical skills and internationally respected qualifications.
Very important note:
We are not interested in pursuing accreditation from the French Ministry of Higher Education. While we are fully authorized and operate under both the National Education and Higher Education Ministries in France, our primary focus has always been on maintaining and expanding our international accreditation.
Our vision and efforts are centered on ensuring that we meet global academic standards and appeal to an international audience, rather than being confined to national regulatory frameworks. This strategic choice allows us to serve a diverse and global student body effectively.
We kindly request that you fully read and understand this distinction before making any decisions or assumptions. Thank you for your attention to this matter and for aligning with our institutional priorities.
Absolutely NOT !
Non-acceptance or non-recognition of a degree by a particular country’s local authority (such as MQA in the Maldives, UGC in India or Sri Lanka, or UK ENIC, etc.) does not render the degree fake or invalid.
EIU-Paris is a legally established and authorized institution in France. The university holds international and transnational accreditation, which enables its graduates to pursue further studies or secure employment in numerous countries where transnational education is well-understood and accepted.
Our graduates have successfully advanced their education or careers in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Suriname, the United States, and others – clearly demonstrating the international value and credibility of EIU-Paris qualifications.
The misconception that “non-acceptance = fake” stems from a simplistic and uninformed understanding of how global education systems operate. A degree is only considered “fake” if it is issued without actual academic engagement or completion. This is not the case with EIU-Paris. Our students study, complete coursework, pass assessments, and fulfill all graduation requirements in accordance with our academic standards.
We urge individuals to be responsible and fact-based when discussing educational matters, especially within the context of transnational education – a growing and fully legitimate pathway in global higher education.
The European International University – Paris (EIU-Paris) is a legally established, private, and independent institution of higher education in France. It is officially authorized by the French Ministry of National Education (Ministère de l’Éducation Nationale) under Registration Number 0756213W, dated 02 April 2019. This legal authorization affirms the university’s right to operate as a private higher education institution in France and enables it to design, deliver, and confer higher education qualifications under its own name and responsibility.
EIU-Paris confers “institutional degrees”—a category of qualifications awarded by legally recognized private universities in France. These degrees are not classified as French national diplomas (diplôme national) and therefore do not fall within the French national qualifications framework. Instead, they are issued solely under the authority and full academic responsibility of EIU-Paris, in line with the institutional autonomy granted under French private higher education law.
While these degrees are outside the French national system, their academic integrity and international credibility are ensured through a robust framework of transnational accreditation, independent institutional audits, global rankings, and professional memberships, which include:
External Accreditations and International Endorsements
Strategic Considerations Behind Incorporating EIU-Paris in France
The establishment of the European International University (EIU-Paris) in France was the result of careful and strategic decision-making by its founders, who sought to align the institution with a global vision while navigating the specific opportunities and challenges presented by the French higher education framework. The following considerations were instrumental in shaping this decision:
– 1. Campus Set-Up Requirements and Market Conditions
The French national higher education framework requires universities to establish physical campuses as part of their operations. However, during the time of EIU-Paris’s incorporation in 2018 and onward, market conditions were not conducive for such a large-scale investment. Feasibility studies highlighted the significant financial and logistical challenges of setting up a campus that could align with our international goals. This led the founders to prioritize an agile, scalable model based on innovative online learning rather than a physical campus.
– 2. Focus on the Growing Online Learning Market
UNESCO has projected the online learning market to grow into a $325 billion industry by 2025, highlighting the rapid global shift towards digital education. EIU-Paris embraced this emerging trend, positioning itself as a leader in the online learning space. By focusing on flexible, technology-driven delivery, EIU-Paris aimed to address the needs of a diverse global student body, enabling access to high-quality education irrespective of geographical or socio-economic barriers.
– 3. French Medium Requirement vs. International Student Target
France’s national higher education framework emphasizes the use of French as the primary medium of instruction. While this supports national integration, it was not aligned with EIU-Paris’s core mission of catering to international students worldwide. French speakers represent only approximately 3% of the global population, significantly limiting the university’s outreach and ability to enroll a diverse global audience. By adopting English as the primary medium of instruction, EIU-Paris ensured broader accessibility and appeal to international students.
– 4. Degree Type for Global Acceptability
The founders recognized that the “French degree” model, while prestigious, may not align with global standards or expectations in key international markets. To ensure wider acceptability of its qualifications, EIU-Paris opted for an “international degree” type that adheres to global standards. This approach facilitates easier recognition and acceptance of EIU-Paris qualifications by employers, academic institutions, and regulatory bodies worldwide.
– 5. Focus on International Accreditations
Given the above considerations, EIU-Paris prioritized obtaining international accreditations for the institution and its programs. These accreditations ensure that the university’s standards meet or exceed global benchmarks, enhancing the credibility and portability of its qualifications. This strategic focus reflects EIU-Paris’s commitment to excellence and its mission to provide high-quality education accessible to students across the globe.
In summary, the decision to incorporate EIU-Paris under the French Education Act L444 license was guided by the founders’ commitment to creating a truly international university that aligns with the evolving dynamics of global education. By focusing on online learning, English as the medium of instruction, internationally recognized degree types, and global accreditations, EIU-Paris has positioned itself as a forward-thinking institution catering to the diverse needs of learners worldwide.
Important Advisory for Students Seeking Professional Licensure or Registration
The European International University (EIU-Paris) is a legally established, private, and independent higher education institution in France, operating under the official authorization of the French Ministry of National Education (Ministère de l’Éducation Nationale), Registration Number 0756213W, dated 02 April 2019. Under this legal framework, EIU-Paris is fully empowered to design, deliver, and confer its own institutional degrees in France and internationally.
Understanding the Nature of EIU-Paris Degrees
The degrees awarded by EIU-Paris are institutional degrees, meaning they are issued under the academic responsibility and authority of the institution itself, as permitted under French private higher education law. These degrees are not French national diplomas (diplôme national) and do not fall within the French national qualifications framework.
Despite this, EIU-Paris degrees are academically credible and globally recognized — thanks to rigorous quality assurance systems, international accreditations, external rankings, and memberships in reputable professional bodies.
Important Note for Those Seeking Licensure or Registration
If you are seeking to use an EIU-Paris qualification for purposes such as:
– Engineering licensure
– Counseling licensure
– Teacher certification
– Medical, legal, or any regulated profession licensure
– Immigration, work permit, or civil service eligibility
Please be aware:
EIU-Paris does not guarantee that its degrees will automatically meet the requirements of professional licensing or regulatory bodies in any specific country.
Each country, and in many cases each state or province, has its own licensing rules and recognition standards that may be independent of university-level accreditation. These authorities often require additional national exams, local qualifications, board registration, or professional training hours beyond your degree.
Examples of International Acceptance
While professional licensure is regulated locally, it is worth noting that EIU-Paris degrees and certifications have been accepted by various international institutions and professional bodies. These include:
– Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Singapore – EIU-Paris graduates have successfully used their degrees to obtain an Employment Pass via the Complementarity Assessment Framework (COMPASS).
– International Education Evaluations (IEE), USA – A NACES-approved credential evaluation agency, IEE has assessed EIU-Paris degrees as equivalent to regionally accredited U.S. degrees, enabling further study or employment in the United States.
– Saudi Arabia Ministry of Education (MOE) – Through its official Foreign Qualifications Evaluation Department (الإدارة العامة لمعادلة الشهادات), under the Agency of Universities, Scholarships, and Academic Accreditation (وكالة الجامعات والبعثات والاعتماد الأكاديمي), EIU-Paris degrees have been evaluated and recognized as equivalent to nationally awarded degrees in Saudi Arabia, following their formal equivalency process.
– Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), UAE – ADEK has accepted EIU-Paris professional training certifications for the extension of work visas and continued employment of teaching and academic staff in schools across the UAE.
– Acceptance by employers and universities worldwide, particularly in regions where transnational education is well understood and institutional degrees are recognized based on academic quality, content, and delivery model.
Your Role as a Prospective Student
Before enrolling in any EIU-Paris program for the purpose of licensure, registration, or regulatory clearance, it is your responsibility to:
– Check with the relevant licensing or regulatory authority in your country to understand their requirements.
– Verify if institutional degrees from international private universities are accepted for your intended purpose.
– Request a credential evaluation (e.g., through agencies like IEE) if needed for further study or immigration.
EIU-Paris encourages informed decision-making and full transparency. The university is committed to academic excellence and international accessibility but does not make specific guarantees regarding national or state-based professional licensure.
EIU-Paris Credentials and Global Credibility
– ASIC Premier Institution status, UK – confirming high global standards
– QS 5-Star Rating – for teaching, employability, online learning, and inclusivity
– #51 ranking globally by CEOWORLD Magazine (2024) for business education
– Professional memberships: ATHEA, ECBE, BGA
– Programmatic accreditation candidacy with ACBSP (USA), anticipated by mid-2025
These recognitions support the academic quality and global reputation of EIU-Paris but do not replace the local regulatory requirements set by national boards or licensing councils.
Final Note
EIU-Paris degrees are respected and utilized globally across sectors — in business, education, psychology, healthcare, and more — especially by professionals seeking career advancement, entrepreneurial development, or academic progression. However, when it comes to regulated professions, always consult with the official licensing body in your jurisdiction to ensure compliance and suitability.
Q1: If I study with a global partner, why is my degree awarded by EIU–Paris?
Ans:Our global partners act as official learning centers. They deliver the teaching and local student support, while EIU–Paris validates the program and awards the final qualification.
Q2: What is “Center and Program Validation & Certification”?
Ans:It is a model where EIU–Paris reviews, approves, and certifies the academic programs offered by our partners. Students may study at a partner institution, but the degree itself is issued and signed by EIU–Paris.
Q3: Is this practice common in higher education?
Ans:Yes. Many European universities—especially in the UK—use this model. Partner colleges deliver the programs locally, while the awarding university validates and certifies the degree, ensuring consistent academic quality.
Q4: Does my EIU–Paris degree carry the same recognition?
Ans:Absolutely. Whether you study directly with EIU–Paris or through one of our validated global partners, your qualification is the same and carries equal value and recognition.
EIU is not online university, nor our degrees, online degrees !!!
European International University (EIU-Paris) is officially authorized by the French National and Higher Education authorities to provide programs through distance learning mode, which is considered a modern and emerging learning method of the 21st century. It is important to clarify that this mode of delivery and assessment does not categorize the university as an online university. EIU-Paris offers all its programs as regular programs, and therefore, the degrees obtained by students are regular degrees. It is crucial to dispel the misconception that equates the mode of delivery and assessment with being an online university or obtaining an online degree. In reality, there is no such thing as an online university or an online degree. Merely because the learning is conducted through online, distance, or self-paced methods does not render the university or its degrees as online or irregular. EIU-Paris ensures that the quality and recognition of its programs are maintained, adhering to the standards set by the French higher education system.
