The Bachelor of Education (BEd) at EIU–Paris is a globally benchmarked undergraduate degree tailored for aspiring educators, teaching assistants, school administrators, and professionals already engaged in education-related fields. The program consists of 13 modules (12 core modules + 1 Capstone Project), totaling 180 ECTS credits.

Those with a prior bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of verified teaching experience may complete the BEd in an accelerated 12-month timeline.

Programme Structure & Learning Model

The BEd programme at EIU–Paris leverages open educational resources (OERs) and reflection-based learning. Students must:

1.Visit the open-source link provided for each module.

2.Sign up for the course (free and open access).

3.Complete the course and learning activities.

4.Download the FREE Statement of Participation issued upon course completion.

5.Write a Reflection Paper (minimum 1,500 words) for each module, addressing:

a. Key concepts learned from the course

b. How these concepts can be applied in real-world educational or workplace contexts

c. Anticipated challenges in implementing these ideas in practice

6.Upload both the Statement of Participation and Reflection Paper to the EIU–Paris LMS.

7.Repeat for all 12 modules required.

8.Complete a 3,000-word Capstone Project Paper on a relevant education topic.

Capstone Project

Upon completion of the 12 modules, students submit a 3,000-word project paper focusing on a topic within the field of education. The capstone is an opportunity to demonstrate integrated learning and the application of educational theories to real-world practice.

Entry Requirements

To qualify for admission, applicants must meet one of the following:

A recognized Bachelor’s degree in any field, and
At least 1 year of professional experience in teaching, educational support, or school administration, or
Mature Entry Route: At least 6 years of verifiable experience in education-related fields (teaching, special needs, admin, etc.)

English Language Proficiency

No test required if prior education was in English
Others may submit IELTS/TOEFL scores or take the EIU–Paris in-house English test
