What Is an Honorary Title via VAE?
At the European International University – Paris (EIU–Paris), we believe that impact, not just education, deserves global recognition. Our Honorary Doctorate and Honorary Professorship titles are conferred on exceptional individuals who have shaped their industries, served their communities, or inspired transformation through innovation, leadership, or lifelong contribution.
These awards are granted through France’s VAE (Validation des Acquis de l’Expérience) legal framework — a prestigious assessment methodology that formally recognizes accumulated professional experience and accomplishments.
Important Note: These honorary titles are not academic degrees, and must not be misrepresented as equivalent to earned academic qualifications. They are ceremonial, honorary, and reputation-based recognitions of lifetime achievement.

Titles are customized to reflect the recipient’s field of expertise and achievement. Examples include:

Honorary Professorships are similarly titled (e.g., Honorary Professor of Media and Communications, Honorary Professor of Sustainability Leadership, etc.).
VAE is a formal recognition process in France that validates an individual’s professional and life experience against academic and professional benchmarks. At EIU–Paris, candidates are assessed based on their Portfolio of Evidence (Dossier).
This portfolio must showcase:
1.Major accomplishments and leadership roles
2.Tangible contributions to industry, society, or innovation
3.Awards, recognitions, and community outreach
4.Published works, public speaking, and professional influence
5.Endorsements, testimonials, and case studies of impact
6.Documented proof of sectoral change or transformational leadership
There is no coursework or exam. The recognition is solely based on merit, proven results, and global influence.
Honorary recognitions at EIU–Paris are not sold, but a philanthropic donation is required from recipients. This ensures that the honor comes with shared responsibility — the legacy of the honoree continues through educational impact.
