The Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Teaching Practice (PGDPTP) is a specialized Level 7 qualification designed to equip current and aspiring educators with the essential pedagogical, technological, and assessment skills needed in today’s dynamic teaching environments.

This fully online programme bridges the gap between theory and practice, empowering teachers, trainers, and education professionals to create impactful, learner-centered experiences across a wide range of settings.

Programme Structure & Learning Model

The PGDPTP follows a self-paced, modular learning format, combining structured study materials, classroom-focused analysis, and reflective assignments.

Students are expected to:

1.Engage with asynchronous learning content for each module
2.Complete a final Application-Oriented Assignment (AOA) of 3,500–4,000 words per module
3.Apply learned theories to their teaching or educational context
4.Repeat the process for all 6 modules

There are no exams or oral defenses required under this programme.

Assessment Method

Each module is assessed through a final Application-Oriented Assignment (AOA), designed to:

• Test applied teaching knowledge
• Evaluate strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
• Reinforce direct relevance to the learner’s professional context

All learning activities, submission forms, and feedback are managed via the EIU–Paris LMS, a secure and intuitive platform offering:

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
OR have at least 9 years of verified teaching, training, or school leadership experience (Mature Entry Route)

English Language Proficiency

Waived if prior education was in English
Others may submit TOEFL/IELTS or take the EIU–Paris in-house test

Reliable internet access and personal device
