In 1977, Professor Dr. Abdul Kabur bin Mohamed Ibrahim joined the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service (PTD) and was posted to the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. In 1999, he took optional retirement at the age of 40 and started a consultancy in South Africa to assist Malaysian public listed companies in their investments in the African and Latin America Continents.
