EIU French authorization and international accreditation – important facts to know and understand !!!

France has a very unique system, and many people around the world, including ministries of education in different countries, don’t understand the French system – which is one of the oldest education systems in the world, even older than the UK or American systems.

In France, a private university is allowed to choose to run French national curricula, which is delivered and assessed in the French language – for which the government would require local (national) accreditation.

Conversely, institutions like ours offer international type programs and degrees – which are then out of the scope of the French ministry to accredit anyway – and hence they keep away from all these programs as this is not their scope of function.

Another difference is the fact that our international type programs are all delivered and assessed 100% in the English language, because we want our students to be internationally employable and mobile (not restricted to France or French-speaking countries only, which in terms of the percentage of the world population, is significantly minuscule).

Hence the Ministry in France treats institutions like ours differently in that…

  1. We function independently and run on our funding and income.
  2. Unlike French curricula/medium institutions – we do NOT get any state funding for students as well as for faculty – this is another reason why the Ministry has no scope of authority over us beyond that of evaluating, approving, and authorizing our type of institutions and programs without getting involved in “national Accreditation,” which logically does not apply to us for all the above reasons.
  3. Our programs are international type programs, and our degrees are named the same as international-type degrees – no French nomenclature is used for our degrees, hence clearly distinguishing ourselves from all national-curriculum/French-degree type institutions in France.
  4.  Our medium of instruction and assessment is 100% ENGLISH, not French.
  5. Our focus is not French-speaking or French government funding-seeking students; rather, our target market is worldwide, especially students who are marginalized and have difficulty accessing high-quality higher education due to the commercialization of international education and very high tuition fees by other profit-oriented institutions around the world; one of our core values is to be one of the most affordable, accessible, and inclusive international higher education providers globally, and we are very proud at the same time humbled by this.
  6. Finally – since the French ministry does not have the scope or function to accredit our type of institutions and programs, we seek and have successfully obtained international accreditation, acceptance, endorsement, accolades, and quality assurance/quality control marks at outstanding levels by bodies such as ASIC, UK, QS Intelligence (5-star rating overall), CEOWORLD Magazine which has ranked us as the top-51 best business school in the world, and currently undergoing nationally recognized American accreditation by ACBSP. All these make us internationally accredited, and this is our focus and deliberate strategic academic and business decision as a university.

The New Realities of the Disruptive and Digital-Driven Business Environment

The New Realities of Leadership
  • Today’s highly disruptive and digital-driven world of work requires a new leadership model with a different class of leaders known as “disruptive digital leaders” who demonstrates a set of behavioral attributes and competencies to successfully navigate the challenges in the implementation of transformative change at the workplace.
  • Today, there is a sense of urgency for organizations today to accelerate the effort to build the competence of their leadership bench strength, and this compounds the challenge of building a strong leadership pipeline.

  • Resulting from our longitudinal research over 20 years, we have developed the employee-centric “Results-based Leadership” (RBL) Framework where effective leadership is one of the single biggest factors affecting employee perceptions in the workplace and employee engagement and productivity.

Programmes Offered

Transforming the Next Generation of Leaders for a Disruptive and Digital-Driven Workplace
Duration

(2 Days)

Course Description
  • “A leader’s singular job is to get results”. But even with all the leadership training programs and “expert” advice available, effective leadership still eludes many people and organizations. One reason, says Daniel Goleman, author and a leading expert on the impact of Emotional & Social Intelligence on Leadership Effectiveness, is that such experts offer advice based on inference, experience, and instinct, not on quantitative data. Emotional & Social Intelligence competencies are perhaps the most challenging for leaders to effectively develop and yet it is the one that often has the most impact.
  • Leaders need to develop a repertoire of six leadership styles each derived from different emotional intelligence competencies, works best in particular situations, and affects the organizational climate in different ways. Each style has a distinct effect on the working atmosphere of a company, division, or team, and, in turn, on its financial performance.
  • The Results-based Leadership (RBL) approach premise is that since leaders lead people, the style with which they do it is important. It must truly represent you, fit with the situation, the results you wish to achieve, and the people you hope will follow your lead. In truth, having a particular style is not as essential to being a leader as having a vision of what could exist, being committed to the vision, bringing great energy to realizing that vision, and having people to support you towards achieving the organizational results.
  • The concept of ‘engagement’ can be defined in many ways. Essentially, engagement is a measure of how an organization values its employees and how employees value their organization and recognize that every individual is at liberty to decide whether to do the minimum required of them or to do more. Engagement can also be taken to represent the degree of empowerment to which staff are involved in decision-making and/or the openness and perceived effectiveness of communication. Hence, leaders have a key role in cultivating a strong culture of engagement which drives employee satisfaction and retention.
Learning Outcomes
  • This intensive managerial leadership training program combines proven-in-action techniques with peer interaction and insights from the latest research to help the participants master the emotional and social intelligence competencies of effective executive leadership.
  • The workshop combines proven-in-action techniques with peer interaction to help the participants to:
    • Immerse them in innovative experiential learning that will take them out of their comfort zone and with these experiences acting as a catalyst; encourage them to think deeply about themselves as a manager and leader
