Programme Objectives
  1. Develop and demonstrate the ability to communicate with and integrate multi-disciplinary expertise related to digital transformation and innovation.
  2. Develop and demonstrate the ability to lead, design, and create applications of digital transformation and innovation using current and emerging tools, techniques, and technology.
  3. Develop skills in management, technology, communications, information architecture, data science, UX design, and gender / cultural awareness and demonstrate the ability to apply them in practice.
  4. Develop and demonstrate the ability to assess, test, and research digital transformation and innovation with sensitivity and awareness around ethics, equity, diversity, business, and social impact.
  5. Identify barriers to developing an innovation-driven culture in organizations
  6. Be able to analyze and critically evaluate the relevance of digital technologies in ensuring the organization’s sustainability.
  7. Be able to apply concepts and ideas to resolve workplace situations and challenges.
  8. Develop actionable plans to address the strategic, organizational, and innovation-based opportunities within the participant’s organization through a consultancy project.
Modules to be completed

Module 1: Digital Transformation And Advanced Digital Technologies

  • Understand the dynamics and challenges of operating in a disruptive, volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) and digital-driven business environment
  • An examination of current Internet technologies, protocols, and wired and wireless infrastructures.
  • Analysis of current Internet-based businesses and consumer applications and services.
  • Discussion of mobile commerce business models and strategies and their relevant technologies.

Module 2: Design Thinking And Customer Centricity For Organizational Success

  • Learn about the importance of Design Thinking and how to implement them within companies
  • Leveraging Design thinking as a collaborative creative process for problem-solving and designing client-centric solutions.
  • Design thinking for driving business innovation, new product development, and customer experience.
  • Best practices for design inspiration, ideation, and implementation; essential design research skills for empathy, listening, collaboration, observation, critical analysis, and experimentation.
  • Develop the knowledge and skills in design thinking tools and techniques including visualization, mapping, storytelling, rapid prototyping, and testing.

Module 3: Developing And Implementing Successful Digital Transformation

  • Understand how data analytics and digital technology are being used to disrupt sectors of the economy and transform business processes for implementation of digital transformation for organizations
  • Develop practical leadership skills to overcome organizational obstacles to successful digital transformations within functions or businesses.
  • Understand the scale of the challenges participants face in a market that demands a new approach to disruptive leadership
  • Learn to develop results-focused innovation and digital transformation strategies

Module 4: Digital Transformation Project And Practicum

  • This final Module will be in the form of a program-long internal consulting project providing participants with the opportunity to apply everything they have learned during the program to a real-world business challenge in the form of leading and engaging the team for an innovation-driven or digital transformation initiative within their organization.


    This experiential work-based learning course is designed to equip students to confidently help conceive, lead, and execute digital transformation initiatives and develop new business models for existing organizations through the implementation of a consultancy project. Students are required to complete the practicum at their respective workplaces or their chosen/assigned organizations.


    Drawing from the content covered in all the modules, participants will critically analyze disruptive innovation trends to help adapt their organization’s strategy and decision-making activities to a continuously changing and disruptive, digital-driven environment. Additionally, the program-long project will culminate in a presentation to their organization’s senior management team, where participants have an opportunity to apply, in a team context, what they have learned to a real business challenge. This unique learning experience will provide tangible value to their organizations.


Learning Resources

The learning resources will include recommended textbooks, published research articles, journals, access to an online library (e-resources), and other online learning resources including YouTube videos relevant to the theme of each of the Modules.

Formative Assessment

After each Module, you will be required to submit a brief outline of your ideas for discussion and formative feedback. Furthermore, there will be an Assessment in the form of a Harvard Business School Case Study or from similar institution, where you will be able to apply and build on your learning and view the entire course as a building block of related pieces of knowledge and information that you can apply to a practical business challenge in your organization. Your entire assessment will demonstrate the highest levels of professional managerial leadership consultancy skills.

Award of the Masters in Digital Transformation (MDT)

Participants who do not have a prior MBA from a recognized institution may complete the Assessments required for all 4 modules in this program and will be awarded the Certificate of Completion.

To also ensure that you are recognized in the acquisition of this expertise in leading the organization and teams in a highly disruptive and digital-driven era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), all successful participants who possess an MBA degree from a recognized institution can earn our Masters in Digital Transformation (MDT) upon the successful completion of the relevant additional Assignments (for Moduloe 1 – 3) and the Action-Based Learning Workplace Business Challenge (Module 4)).

We can apply our Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) towards our MDT from your current MBA degree conditional upon our recognition of your MBA where we will transfer all your prior earned credits towards our MDT Degree.

U.S. & Canada Equivalency


EIU’s Degree programmes have been reviewed and evaluated against U.S. and Canadian standards and are certified to be equivalent to degrees conferred by Regionally Accredited Universities in the United States and Canada.

This means that the EIU Degree programmes meet full or partial requirements for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) promulgated by the United States Dept. of Homeland Security. Additionally, the EIU Degree programmes also meet requirements for continuing education and/or employment in the U.S. and Canada.

This evaluation is done following guidelines set by AACROA evaluation guidelines, as well as, based on best practices promulgated by The Association for International Credential Evaluation Professionals (TAICEP), the National Association of Graduate Admissions Professionals (NAGAP), The European Association for International Education (EAIE), and the Association of International Educators (NAFSA).
