implemented the following specific policies:

  1. Energy Conservation and Efficiency:
  • Installation of energy-efficient lighting systems: We have replaced traditional lighting fixtures with LED lights in all campus buildings to reduce energy consumption and increase the lifespan of lighting equipment.
  • Lights remain off in the areas where there is no activity happening.

2. Waste Reduction and Recycling:

  • Single-stream recycling program: We have implemented a comprehensive recycling program that allows everyone to recycle paper, plastic, glass, metal, and cardboard in a single bin, making recycling more convenient and increasing participation rates.

3. Sustainable Transportation:

  • Public transportation encouragement: All staff and faculty members are encouraged to take public transportation to commute to work. Everyone who participates is allowed to reimburse a fixed amount of public transportation fee every month.

4. Water Conservation

  • Low-flow fixtures: We have replaced older water fixtures with low-flow faucets, showerheads, and toilets to reduce water consumption without compromising user experience.

5. Sustainable Procurement:

  • Green purchasing policy: We have implemented a procurement policy that prioritizes the purchase of environmentally friendly products, such as recycled paper, eco-friendly cleaning supplies, and energy-efficient appliances.
  • Supplier sustainability criteria: We evaluate and select suppliers based on their commitment to sustainability, including factors such as ethical sourcing, reduced packaging, and adherence to environmental regulations.
